About Fairdeal.market
Fairdeal.Market is a fast-growing B2B quick commerce company offering a wide range of products with delivery times as short as 20 minutes. Our mission is to ensure that every shopping bag worldwide can be filled efficiently and sustainably
About the New Pilot
Fairdeal.market is now exploring a new business opportunity: providing on-demand operational support services to retailers, kirana stores, general stores and pan shops. Retail stores are highly operational businesses. Owners often spend their day managing tasks such as replenishment, stock movement, arranging shelves, recording inwards and outwards, maintaining store hygiene and supervising people.
The pilot is designed to understand which of these operational problems retailers would pay to solve, how these services should be delivered, and how we can build a repeatable operating model that can eventually scale across multiple retailers and locations.
This is a 0 → 1 role. The person joining will not simply execute an existing playbook — they will help create it.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Store Manager / Trainer who can take ownership of the pilot on the ground. You will run day-to-day store operations, manage and train frontline workers, identify operational bottlenecks, understand retailer needs and convert these learnings into services, SOPs and training processes.
You will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in answering one fundamental question: How
can we build reliable, repeatable operational support for India's retailers?
What You Will Do
1. Own Day-to-Day Store Operations
• Take end-to-end ownership of the pilot store and its daily operations.
• Manage activities such as replenishment, stock movement, inwards/outwards and store organisation.
• Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately, consistently and on time.
• Identify and solve operational issues as they arise.
2. Manage & Train the Workforce
• Manage and supervise the on-ground workforce responsible for executing retailer services.
• Train new team members on store operations, service execution and expected quality standards.
• Coach team members and identify gaps in execution or capability.
• Build simple training processes that frontline employees can understand and follow.
3. Understand Retailer Problems
• Work on the ground to understand how retailers currently run their stores.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, recurring problems and activities that consume retailer time.
• Speak with retailers and gather feedback on the services being offered.
• Convert observations and feedback into actionable insights for the business.
4. Identify & Build New Services
• Identify operational services that retailers may need support with.
• Help define what each service includes, how it should be executed and what skills are required.
• Test services in the pilot and improve them based on real-world feedback.
• Help establish service quality and productivity benchmarks.
5. Build SOPs & Training Modules
• Create simple, practical SOPs for each service.
• Build checklists and training modules for frontline employees.
• Standardise the correct way of performing each task.
• Continuously improve SOPs based on operational learnings.
6. Help Build the 0 → 1 Business
• Work with senior leadership to test different service and operating models.
• Understand what works, what does not and what can scale.
• Build repeatable processes that can eventually be deployed across multiple retailers and locations.
• Contribute directly to shaping a new business line within Fairdeal.market.
Who Are We Looking For?
• Someone with hands-on experience running a retail store independently.
• Experience managing, supervising or training a frontline workforce.
• Strong understanding of day-to-day retail operations, inventory, stock movement and replenishment.
• Comfortable with inwards/outwards and basic store-level inventory processes.
• Strong people skills and a natural ability to teach and coach others.
• Patient, practical and comfortable working with frontline employees.
• Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-moving 0 → 1 environment.
• Someone who enjoys getting into operational details and building processes from scratch.
What You Can Expect
• High ownership from Day 1: You will own a real operating environment rather than simply execute a defined
checklist.
• 0 → 1 exposure: You will help build the services, SOPs, training systems and operating model from scratch.
• Steep learning curve: Exposure to retail operations, workforce management, service design, process building
and business operations.
• Direct leadership exposure: Work closely with senior leadership and see your insights translate into business
decisions.
• Growth opportunity: As the pilot scales, the role can expand into larger responsibilities across operations,
training and workforce management.
